SL Huang 2015 Awards Eligibility Post

Cool, it’s my first year doing one of these!  For your consideration for the Hugos, Nebulas, and other SFF awards, I had the following works come out in 2014:

Novels

(Most awards, including the Hugos and Nebulas, make no distinction between self-published and trade published books, but if any exclude self-published works then both novels would become ineligible.)

Short Stories

The Campbell Award

I am indeed eligible for the Campbell Award for Best New Writer.

The Carl Brandon Awards

I am a writer of color, and thus my works are all eligible for the Carl Brandon Parallax Award.

Other Awards Categories

For the sake of completeness, I suppose I am eligible for Best Fan Writer for my writing both here and on my old blog, but I would not point to any of my posts as being particularly worthy of note for this category.

If you haven’t checked out my work yet and wish to for awards consideration, I would humbly direct you toward “Hunting Monsters” first.

I think that’s it.  Happy New Year!

  • Thank you for the amazing Hunting Monsters. I loved it. Not a word out of place and a place for every word. I enjoyed spotting the fairytale references and kicked myself when I missed the earlier ‘scarlet’ Red Riding Hood reference.

Tell us all about it...
